The Power Of Prayer - 20 years of studio work ended successfully The actor Yossef Ohana releases his debut album, named "Yossef Ohana". The album contains 29 songs, which he started recording at the age of 19 and completed this year. Now, at the age of 39, he releases the full album. Yossef Ohana studied drama at the London Drama School. He graduated in 2008 and immediately continued to record the album, on which he has been working for 20 years, in recording studios in Tel Aviv and London. The London-based production company Gess Productions produced three songs, among which you can find the hits "Lies and Sins" and "My Show". The Tel-Aviv based producer ARTBEAT composed and produced "X", the opening song of the album, and the song "Sins", which expresses Yossef's will that sins will exist only in songs and not in real life. "We can live in a better world," he claims, and it's not his only statement for creating a better world - connecting to your inner self and self-fulfilment are central motives in this album, which he wrote by himself. "I'm not a singer," Yossef Ohana says, "I'm an actor that treats every song as a monologue he has to play. Music is only a way to express my truth, all the songs are autobiographical and I work on every song as if I am a character in front of the mic, a character that has something to say, a creation of my imagination. It's different than a singer that goes into studio only to sing his songs. My songs have more depth, lyrically and in terms of how I express them. In front of the mic I'm not myself, but someone else, according to the story of the song. The inner world is definitely mine, but the character is something big that I create in my head before I start recording, when I begin to write the text. When I finish writing a song, its character is taking control over me." The song "Fame" is an outstanding song in the album, and is about the power of prayer. "I really believe in praying to God," says Yossef Ohana, "and the song expresses my way to achieve things. I tend to ask them from God, write him my requests or just open a prayer book and pray, and my requests come true. Of course I'm not a magician, not everything I ask for happens, but I believe that everything that happens has a reason, and also the things that don't. I like to fantasize, to ask the things I want until they come true, or until I rephrase the prayer and make it something more exciting. Emotion always wins - when I feel good about it, there is a bigger chance that what I ask for will eventually come true."
